Visit to the CIIEM
Mani is an “open-air museum” that combines numerous historical monuments with the indescribable beauty of its imposing landscape. The churches, the castles, the traditional oil mills, the windmills, the picturesque bays, the world famous Diros caves (and a lot more) and the dozens of unique traditional villages with imposing towers can only bear witness to the timeless splendour of the Byzantine tower city, the Byzantine Greeks and their present, contemporary echoes.
The breathtaking beauty of the landscape, the contrast between the rock and the sea and the responsibility of the residents of Mani for Freedom have carved the culture of Mani just like the stone. The CIIEM invites you to explore Mani and helps you to know her better through the exhibits it hosts and the events it organizes.
