115 - Billhook

THE BILLHOOK was an iron farming tool used for cleaning fields from weeds, the so-called “lazoma”, which lasted from August to mid-September. The billhook was used for cutting grass from a distance and that is why it was mounted on a wooden pole. Its blade was broad and sharp in most part, with a semicircular edge.
